Charleston police are searching for gunman in a shooting on Thursday that left one man nursing gunshot wounds.
Police officers responded to a Balsam Street home shortly before 11 p.m. concerning a shooting that had taken place, an incident report states.
A woman ran up to officers and yelled that a wounded man inside the home needed help, police said.
Officers found the 23-year-old Charleston man sitting on a couch with two visible gunshot wounds to his left shoulder and lower back, the report states.
The man told police that he had been outside in the driveway when multiple shots were fired. He could not describe a gunman in the incident, police said.
Paramedics transported the man to Medical University Hospital for treatment.
Authorities are still searching for a shooter in the incident.
