Robert Trevette Strous, of Isle of Palms, a former principal at Wando High School, died Tuesday. He was 69.
Born in Williamsport, Pa., he was the son of Jane Strous and Robert T. Strous.
He attended Lock Haven University and earned his master’s degree from Clarkson College. Strous earned his certificate of administration from The Citadel.
As a school administrator, he served as a principal of Laing Middle School and Wando High School. He also served as an area superintendent with Charleston County School district.
Strous is survived by his wife, Stephanie Wergel Strous, his mother, brothers, and seven nieces and nephews.
The family will announce service arrangements at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Melanoma Fund at MUSC’s Hollings Cancer Center Office of Development at 86 Jonathan Lucas St., Charleston.
