A second gunman has been arrested in connection with a Ladson nightclub shooting that wounded a man last year, Charleston County sheriff’s deputies said.
Antonio Deweese, 27 of Mossy Road in Summerville, is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, Sheriff’s Maj. Jim Brady said. Deweese is expected to have a bond hearing this afternoon.
Deweese was extradited from Clayton County in Georgia on active warrants related to a Dec. 20 shooting at the Game Room, 3792 Ladson Road, Brady said.
Investigators determined that Deweese was one of multiple men who fired guns at the nightclub after a fight broke out, Brady said. One man was struck in the hip in the exchange of gunfire.
On Jan. 22, sheriff’s deputies and members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Keith Williams, of East Railroad Avenue in Lincolnville. Williams is still being held on the same charges as Deweese, Brady said.
Deweese is being held at the Charleston County jail in lieu of a $100,000 bail, jail records show.
