Megachurch pastors Joel and Victoria Osteen are coming Aug. 16 to the North Charleston Coliseum for an event expected to draw 10,000 people.
The Osteens are the pastors of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas, which bills itself as America’s largest with 40,000 members.
Joel Osteen also hosts a weekly television broadcast, has written best-selling books, posts weekly podcasts heard by millions and has nearly 1.9 million Twitter followers.
The Charleston event, called “A Night of Hope,” will be at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m.
“This Night of Hope will bring together people of all different backgrounds from across the region for an exciting time of praise and worship where lives are changed and hope is restored,” a statement says.
