ORANGEBURG — S.C. State hit the field Saturday for the first of 25 preseason football practices as the Bulldogs prepare for the 2013 campaign. Approximately 90 players participated in the two-hour workout drills.
Bulldogs head coach Buddy Pough, now in 12th season at the helm, said it was a typical start of camp.
“It’s always a little shock of being back and ready to get things going,” said Pough. “ You have to figure out that the same hard work is out there, and you have to prepare yourself to play at the level you want to play at.”
The Bulldogs will conduct their second practice Sunday beginning at 9:30 a.m.
