GREENVILLE — A national gay rights group is scheduled to hold a conference in Greenville this weekend.
Organizers with Sean’s Last Wish say they are planning to host the National Coalition of Anti Violence Project’s annual conference on Saturday.
The daylong meeting features workshops on available resources and the history of discrimination. There will also be information about creating supportive networks through groups like faith-based communities.
Sean’s Last Wish was founded by Elke Kennedy, the mother of a gay man killed outside a Greenville bar in 2007.
Sean Kennedy was 20 years old when he died after being hit in the face and falling to the ground.
