A Charleston man was arrested on drug charges Tuesday after telling officers he was robbed by people he had sold to before, according to police.
Anthony Roderick Williams, 39, of King Street called police about 7:45 p.m. Monday to say he had been robbed on Isabella Street, according to the incident report. Officers said they saw two small plastic bags containing a green leafy substance in the back seat of his SUV. Williams told police he knew the people who had robbed him because he had “sold to them before,” according to the report.
Williams was arrested Tuesday and charged with conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws. He was being held in the Charleston County jail.
