A motorcycle rider died in a wreck on I-526 in North Charleston Tuesday night.
About 7:30 p.m., a motorycle and an SUV collided in the eastbound lanes of I-526 near Leeds Avenue, North Charleston Police Department spokesman Spencer Pryor said.
The motorcycle rider was thrown off. The rider was taken to Medical University Hospital and later died.
The SUV driver was taken to St. Francis Hospital.
More details on the accident are expected Wednesday.
Traffic was still moving slowly in the area after 9 p.m. Tuesday.
