Meth lab found in mobile home park near Summerville, sheriff’s office says
A strong chemical smell coming from a mobile home near Summerville led to the discovery of a meth operation Monday, according to the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies visited a home on Marie Lane in the Woodoak Mobile Home Park after neighbors complained about the smell, Chief Deputy Sam Richardson said. Deputies called in the narcotics unit and the DEA task force, who found two types of meth labs inside, Richardson said. Agents said they identified a red phosphorous method lab and a one-pot method lab.
The resident, Amy Burgio, was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.
Peter Ward of Sellars Circle was charged with possession of marijuana.
