Camp Rise Above is a nonprofit that provides camp experiences for children with serious illnesses, life challenges and disabilities.

Started by Barbara and Ted Van Thullenar, it grew out of a local Bible study and aims to expand into a residential camp.

Upcoming sessions this summer include July 22-23 for children with brain tumors and July 25-26 for children with a deployed military parent.
