JIYC FISHING TOURNAMENT
The James Island Yacht Club King Mackerel/Dolphin and Inshore Fish Tournament has been rescheduled and will be fished Saturday. Registrations are still being accepted. Weigh-in will be from 3-5 p.m. The early entry fee is $200 per boat. There also is a dolphin tournament that day and an inshore division (trout, flounder and sheepshead). FISHING FOR MIRACLES
The 20th annual Fishing for Miracles King Mackerel Tournament will be fished Aug. 15-17 out of Ripley Light Yacht Club. Final registration begins at 2 p.m. Aug. 15 with the captain’s meeting starting at 7 p.m. Boats will fish Aug. 16-17 with weigh-ins beginning at 2 p.m. Aug. 16 and 1 p.m. Aug. 17. HARRY HALLMAN INSHORE TOURNAMENT
The third annual Harry Hallman Inshore Fishing Tournament will be fished Saturday with weigh-in at 5 p.m. at Tru Blue’s, located at 1039 Johnnie Dodds Blvd., Mount Pleasant. The captain’s meeting will be held Aug. 2 at Rogue Motion, located at 1411 Folly Road on James Island and the weigh-in also will be held at Rogue Motion. LIFEPOINT FISHING TOURNAMENT
The Lifepoint Hooked on Life catch and release fishing tournament will be held Aug. 10. Lifepoint is the designated Organ Procurement Organization for organ recovery services in South Carolina. Registration and captain’s meeting will be held from 6-9 p.m. Aug. 9 at the Charleston Maritime Center. Prizes will be awarded for the longest redfish, flounder and spotted sea trout. GOOSE CREEK SUMMER SLAM
Goose Creek Bass Club will hold its Summer Slam bass tournament series on the Cooper River will continue through Aug. 3 with a Classic Aug. 10. Tournaments will be fished out of Cypress Gardens Boat Ramp on Saturdays, with blast-off at 5 p.m. and weigh-in at 9 p.m. The entry fee is $50, which includes $10 big fish. WORKING MAN’S TOURNAMENTS
The 10th annual Working Man’s Bass Tournaments are underway at Cypress Gardens Boat Landing on the Cooper River. There will be 14 events held every Thursday with registration beginning at 3:30 p.m., blast-off at 5:30 p.m. and weigh-in at 8:30 p.m. The entry fee is $40 per team with a $10 optional big fish pot. There is a five-bass, 12-inch limit. The top 20 teams will fish for a championship in August.
