Queen Anne’s Revenge closes on Daniel Island after 12 years
After 12 years on Daniel Island, Queen Anne’s Revenge has closed.
The restaurant and bar at 160 Fairchild St. was part of the Neighborhood Dining Group, which once launched the Buccaneer in downtown Charleston. The pirate-themed restaurant closed in 2010 after two years.
“To our valued and loyal guests who have supported us over the years, we want to thank you,” Neighborhood Dining Group President David Howard said in a statement on the restaurant’s website. “On behalf of the entire Neighborhood Dining Group and the staff of Queen Anne’s Revenge, it has been our great pleasure to be a part of the Daniel Island community and we will miss you all.”
An earlier posting on Queen Anne’s Facebook page said the restaurant and the nearby Hampton Inn “are in the process of being acquired by a local development group.” That part of Howard’s statement was later removed.
Neighborhood Dining Group continues to operate Husk in Charleston and Nashville, McCrady’s in Charleston and Chicago’s Steak and Seafood in Roswell, Ga., near Atlanta.
