You saved us with your rainy day photos, now show us how you beat the heat

Well, you photographers certainly caused a lot of discussion in our newsroom this week as editors struggled to decide on just one rainy day photo to appear in The Post and Courier Saturday.

As you can see by looking through the Your Rainy Day photo gallery, it wasn’t an easy decision. There were breathtaking lightning shots, gorgeous landscape pics and photos of glistening flowers.

In the end, the editors decided on Patrick Harwood’s photo of a squirrel trying to get out of the rain. Look at the People section in Saturday’s newspaper to read more about how they finally decided on that one.

The rules:

Send your best Beat the Heat photo to yourphotos@postandcourier.com by noon Tuesday.

Include your name, town and where the photo was taken.

If you want your photo to be eligible to run in the newspaper it must be at least 1,500 pixels and not have a commercial watermark.

Our editors will select which photo will appear each week. We reserve the right to not publish any photo for any reason.
