Ladson man tells police that woman stopped having sex to open door for robbers
A 21-year-old Ladson man told North Charleston police he was marched around his apartment naked early Sunday by two men who were let in by a woman who had come to his apartment to have sex with him.
Two men and two women were arrested a day later and are in jail facing robbery and burglary charges.
According to an incident report, police were called to a gas station on University Boulevard shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday for a report of a home invasion-style robbery that had taken place earlier in the day.
The alleged victim told police he had found a girl named “Honey” on a website and had arranged for her to come to his apartment. About 4 a.m., she arrived and they started having sex.
During the activity, the woman stopped and said she had to get her cell phone.
The victim, “thought it strange that she stopped in the middle of sex to get her phone,” the report says. He followed her and overheard her saying, “It’s on the first floor, first door on the left,” the report says. The woman ran to the front door and unlocked it. Two men walked in. One was armed with a handgun. The armed man pointed the gun at the victim’s chest and ordered him to put his hands on the wall. The victim was still naked.
They continued to hold him at gunpoint and walked through the apartment, looking for valuables, the report says. The victim offered an iPod but the robbers didn’t want it. They said they wanted his Playstation 3. They also took $100 in cash and a Rolex watch valued at $850.
Someone yelled “police” and a second woman, who apparently was outside waiting, came into the apartment, the report says. The two women and the two men ran outside.
The victim put on some clothes and ran outside, but the robbers had fled in a vehicle, the report says.
The victim waited to report the incident because he was embarrassed, but called police Sunday night after a friend urged him to, according to investigators.
About 2:40 a.m. Monday, an officer on routine patrol was at an Ashley Phosphate Road motel when he saw a group of people staying at the motel who appeared to match the descriptions of the robbers. He called for backup and several officers knocked on the door of the motel room. When the door opened, the officers noticed the smell of marijuana, the report says. All the occupants were detained and officers found a Playstation and a Rolex watch as well as a bag of what appeared to be marijuana.
