South Carolina Stingrays coach Spencer Carbery announced that the team has re-signed defenseman Kevin Quick. In keeping with club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Quick, 25, registered career-highs in games (64), goals (3) and points (17) with the Stingrays last season and was named the ninth captain in team history in February. The Buffalo native also skated three games in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Rockford IceHogs adding no points.
The 6-0, 181-pound defenseman was a third-round (78th overall) draft pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2006 NHL entry draft.
The annual meeting of the Greater Charleston USBC Association will be held on July 21 at 2 p.m. in the large hall at the Charleston Rifle Club on Heriot Street.
There will be election of officers as well as directors. This meeting with voting rights is open to all members of the GCUSBCA.
A USBC membership card must be presented at check-in in order to attend. No computer will be available to check status.

The 14th Annual Roy Meyers Junior Open tournament has been postponed to July 19 due to inclement weather.
Entries are still be accepted at the Summerville County Club pro shop. Call (843) 873-2210 (ext. 1) to sign up. Entry fee is $25.
The 10-under and 11-12 age divisions play nine holes, while 13-15 and 16-18 play 18 holes.
