North Charleston students who are new to North Charleston schools are asked to register at one of two centralized sites rather than their future school.

The sites are: James Simons Elementary, 2685 Leeds Ave.; and Lambs Elementary, 6800 Dorchester Rd.

The centers will help parents with the registration process for any student in grades K-12, except for those planning to attend county-wide magnet schools. Parents will be able to access information on issues such as buses and school meals at the sites.

The registration centers are open June 24 until Aug. 8 on Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
