Offensive lineman Justin Falcinelli of Middletown, Md., committed Monday to Clemson, choosing the Tigers over Stanford, Maryland, Florida State, West Virginia and Rutgers, according to his coach.
“The thing for Clemson was the coaching staff, the history of the program and the environment,” coach Kevin Lynott said. “He’s a country boy and he felt like home. The highlights for him were the support and the interacting with some of the players and the coaching staff. He really liked coach (Dabo) Swinney. Justin is a high academic, high character, strong Christian and what coach Swinney is doing down there is a perfect match.”
Falcinelli (6-5, 300 pounds) plays offensive tackle and defensive tackle and was all-state last season on both sides of the line.
“His coachability and his intense desire is what he gives us on our team,” Lynott said. “He’s a leader in that. He possesses very good strength. And he has very good feet and is very athletic with his feet.”
Falcinelli is the 14th commitment for Clemson’s 2014 class and the second offensive lineman.
