Lonnie Carter, president and CEO of Santee Cooper, has been named the recipient of the American Public Power Association’s Alex Radin Distinguished Service Award.



Ann Elish has been elected board chair for 2013-14 at Goodwill Industries of Lower South Carolina. Other officers are: Rob Phillips, vice chair; George Temple, treasurer; and Mike Saboe, secretary. New board members are Rick Lipps, Jim Millette and Scott Wink.



Jon Chalfie and Jeremy Willits of Avison Young represented the seller in the $352,000 sale of a 1,655 square foot commercial office building at 211 Scott St., Mount Pleasant, South Carolina to Pflug Law Firm.



Tiffany Pripeton, a financial planner at Morris Financial Concepts Inc. in Mount Pleasant, has been certified as a Certified Financial Planner by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.



Chris Koepenick of Lee & Associates represented the landlord in leasing 3,146 square feet of office space at 494 Wando Park Blvd., Mount Pleasant, to CareKinesis Inc. Steve Radekopf of Radekopf & Associates represented the tenant.



Will Phillips and Richard Morse of Palmetto Commercial Properties Inc. represented the tenant, HNV Morrison LLC, in leasing 5,412 square feet of retail space at 1081 Morrison Drive, Charleston.



Elite Home Charleston has opened 12 Carriage Lane, Suite A, in West Ashley. Bobby Shealy is owner, broker in charge and CEO.



Mandy Coleman of National Restaurant Properties represented the landlord in leasing 1,500 square feet at 3515 Mary Ader Ave., Charleston, to Marco’s Pizza.



David Kent, broker in charge and co-owner of The Real Buyer’s Agent in Mount Pleasant, has obtained the Certified Residential Specialist Designation from the National Association of Realtors’ Council of Residential Specialists.
