A Ladson man suspects his drug dealer is to blame after about six rounds were fired at his home in a drive-by shooting Friday morning, Dorchester County sheriff’s deputies said.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to Hummingbird Avenue off Parlor Drive about 4 a.m. following reports of shots fired, an incident report states.
A 45-year-old man told deputies he has a problem with crack cocaine and that his drug dealer, nicknamed “Dollar,” stopped by earlier in the night to collect a debt.
The man paid some of the money, but not all of it, deputies said. He later heard about six gunshots outside his home and found a bullet hole in his door, according to the report.
No one was injured in the shooting, Lt. Tony Phinney said.
A gunman has not yet been identified in the shooting.
