Highway Patrol: Summerville woman mistakenly drives truck into townhouse near Goose Creek

A Summerville woman hurled her truck into a townhouse near Goose Creek on Friday morning, according to authorities.

The 68-year-old woman was driving a pick-up truck at around 9:37 a.m. when she tried pulling into a parking spot on Pineshadow Drive, officials with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.

The driver mistakenly hit the gas instead of the brake pedal and sent her truck into a residence, officials said.

No one was injured and the driver was not cited.
