A Mount Pleasant man who was disbarred from practicing law in another state was arrested for practicing law in South Carolina, according to state authorities.

Bradley R. Marshall, 55, of W. Canning Drive, was charged with practicing law without a license today by the State Law Enforcement Division.

In October 2012, a North Charleston attorney was contacted by Marshall in reference to a former client who he was now representing for a claim regarding workman’s compensation, according to an affidavit.

In April 2012, the North Charleston attorney had received several requests from former clients to turn their files over to Marshall, authorities said.

Marshall is not a member of the South Carolina Bar, according to an affidavit. Authorities also discovered Marshall had also been disbarred by the State of Washington Supreme Court in 2009, officials said.
