Three Walterboro teens reported being kidnapped at gunpoint in an attempted rape, police said.
A woman arrived at Walterboro City Hall on Saturday to report a sexual assault involving her daughter and two of her friends, an incident report states.
A 15-year-old and two 13-year-olds told officers that someone abducted them at gunpoint from the Edisto Terrace apartment complex, 180 Mabel T. Wills Blvd.
The girls were taken to an unknown location, the report said.
Someone tried to rape one of the girls, police said, but she managed to fight off her attacker.
A suspect in the case has not been identified. The incident remains under investigation, police said.
