COLUMBIA, S.C. -- A Columbia man has been arrested in a wreck that killed an infant in the car.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol says the wreck happened around 11 p.m. Tuesday when the car ran off the road and hit several trees.
Twenty-four-year-old Justin Johnson is charged with felony DUI, child endangerment and simple possession of marijuana.
The child died at Palmetto Health Richland hospital. The infant’s name has not been released.
Johnson is being held in the Richland County jail. It was not clear whether he has an attorney. .
