Charleston police have arrested a Charleston man accused of beating another man with a 2-by-4-inch piece of wood.
The beaten man was struck multiple times and required stitches following the June 11 incident, police said.
Corey Rivers, 35 of North Romney Street, was charged with second-degree assault and battery, police said. Officers arrested him Monday afternoon on Bee Street, police records show.
He was released from the Charleston County jail Tuesday after posting bail.
