A 54-year-old man has died after a weekend collision between a motorcycle and a car in Mount Pleasant, police said.
The wreck occurred Saturday at U.S. Highway 17 and Mathis Ferry Road at 2:05 a.m., police said.
Police arrived to find a black Lexus in one lane and a motorcycle on its side in the adjacent lane.
The motorcycle driver, Bruce Brower of Whipple Road in Mount Pleasant, was transported to Medical University Hospital, where he died later that same day, according to a police report.
Police did not provide further details as to how the crash occurred.
A funeral mass for Brower will be held Wednesday in the J. Henry Stuhr Mount Pleasant chapel at 1 p.m.
