A Summerville-based manufacturer said today it is providing heavy-duty excavator buckets to a gold-mining operation in Alaska.
CMW Inc. said in a written statement that it is supplying the attachments to Buckeye Minerals.
The first of the buckets have been installed on 100,000-pound-class excavators stationed at a Buckeye mine in Fairbanks.
CMW stands for Charleston Machine Works. Its website says it manufactures and distributes a wide range of construction equipment attachments.
