Army National Guard Pvt. Darrin B. Martin has graduated from One Station Unit Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Waynesville, Mo., which included basic military training and advanced individual training.

Martin is the son of Tena England of Charleston and Darryl Martin of Latta.

He is a 2006 graduate of West Ashley High School.

Marine Corps Pfc. Justin E. White, son of Lorrie M. Fuller of Adams Run and Gregory F. White of Mount Pleasant, earned the title of United States Marine after graduating from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island.

White is a 2006 graduate of First Baptist Church School of Mount Pleasant.

Air Force Airman Curtis J. Miller graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

He is a 2007 graduate of Garrett Technology High School.

Navy Seaman Luke A. Smeilus, grandson of Naomi Proveaux of Charleston, recently completed Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Smeilus is a 2005 graduate of Hanahan High School.

Civilian Carlos M. Mairena Jr., son of Monisa V. and Carlos M. Mairena of Charleston, recently enlisted in the Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at Navy Recruiting District, Raleigh, N.C.

Mairena will report for active duty to undergo basic training at the Navy’s Recruit Training Center, Great Lakes, Ill.

Mairena is a 2013 graduate of Fort Dorchester High School.

Civilian Keona M. Wright, daughter of Patricia A. Wright of Edisto Island, recently enlisted in the Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at Navy Recruiting District, Raleigh, N.C.

Wright will report for active duty to undergo basic training at the Navy’s Recruit Training Center, Great Lakes, Ill.

Wright is a 2012 graduate of Baptist Hill High School.

Civilian Jeremy F. Simmons, son of Maybell Simmons of Charleston and Robert N. Desaussure of North Charleston, recently enlisted in the Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at Navy Recruiting District, Raleigh, N.C.

Kirby is a 2012 graduate of Smithsburg High School of Smithsburg, Md.

Civilian Phillip R. Werner, son of Misty A. Gordon of Charleston and Peter C. Werner of Charleston, recently enlisted in the Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at Navy Recruiting District, Raleigh, N.C.

Werner will report for active duty to undergo basic training at the Navy’s Recruit Training Center, Great Lakes, Ill.
