Tropical Storm Andrea-related closings and cancellations

Delays, cancellations related to Tropical Storm Andrea:


City of Charleston offices will delay opening until 10 a.m.

Charleston County government offices and libraries in downtown Charleston will delay opening until noon.

Charleston Police Department’s Citizens Advisory Group meeting with Chief Greg Mullen scheduled for tonight at the John Dart Library on King Street is canceled.


The Children’s Center at Carolina Park will open at 10:30 a.m.

Citadel morning classes are canceled. The Board of Visitors meeting will begin at 10 a.m.

Charleston School of Law classes are canceled, but the staff is to report at 10 a.m.

College of Charleston classes won’t begin until 10 a.m.

Trident Technical College classes and activities are canceled.


Charleston County Parks tweeted that due to ongoing rain and muddy conditions, the North Trail at North Charleston’s Wannamaker County Park is closed until further notice.

Family Circle Tennis Center will be closed. There will be no summer activities. Contact the center to schedule a time to make up any missed sessions.


Charleston Animal Society closed at 3 p.m. Thursday. It also might delay opening today. Check Facebook and the CAS website for updates.

South Carolina Federal Credit Union, Bee Street branch, opening delayed until 10 a.m.

Charleston Trident Association of Realtors office on International Boulevard will open at 10 a.m.

Berkeley Electric Cooperative has canceled the grand opening and dedication of its new Awendaw district office Saturday.

The ceremony will be rescheduled on a date not yet announced.

Charleston International Airport passengers scheduled to depart this morning are urged to check with their airlines before arriving at the airport.
