ROSINVILLE — Two tornadoes raked Dorchester County on Tuesday, the National Weather Service has confirmed.
Both twisters formed in the area around Duncan Chapel Road, one on Orangeburg County and one in northern Dorchester. A tree fell through a mobile home, but there was no substantial damage besides that. The storm, though, tore up trees and did heavy damage to crops across the mostly agricultural land, said senior meteorologist Steve Taylor with the weather service’s Charleston office.
