College of Charleston trustees committee approves tuition hike
A Board of Trustees committee today unanimously approved raising tuition for College of Charleston students next year.
The full board votes on the proposed budget June 10.
If approved, in-state students would pay about $300 more; Out-of-state students would pay nearly $1,400 more. Both in-state and out-of-state graduate students would pay somewhat more than their respective counterparts.
The proposed increase mirrors a 3.2 percent increase for The Citadel cadets and graduate students that was approved in a similar preliminary vote earlier this week. The University of South Carolina and Clemson University have not yet released tuition proposals for the 2013-14 year.
