Citadel catcher Joe Jackson has been named to the third team of the Louisville Slugger All-America team announced today.
Jackson, a junior from Mauldin, hit .386 with 19 doubles, two triples, 13 home runs and 67 runs batted-in for the Bulldogs this season.
South Carolina pitcher Tyler Webb, who was 2-2 with an 1.24 earned-run average and 16 saves, also made the third team.
San Diego third baseman Kris Bryant, who hit .340 with 31 homers and 62 RBI, was named national player of the year.
