Charleston County School of the Arts hosted its annual student fashion show May 3 in the school’s cafeteria as part of North Charleston Arts Week.
Students from Marie Nichols’ costume classes showcased their designs along with students presenting their Advanced Placement fashion projects.
Proceeds will go to the school’s Jasiri Whipper Memorial Scholarship given to a senior who will pursue a career in the arts. Whipper was a School of the Arts alumnus and Post and Courier reporter who died in a traffic accident in 2008.
Donations can be mailed to School of the Arts, 5109B W. Enterprise, North Charleston, SC 29405, Attention: Marie Nichols.
