A motorcyclist who caught on fire while driving on Interstate 26 this morning has been identified as a Moncks Corner man, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.
William Johnson Jr., 21, was riding east at 7:11 a.m. when his motorcycle ignited, burning him, Senior Trooper Bridget Wyant said.
Traffic was snarled near the 213 mile marker as authorities cleared the scene.
Johnson was transported to Medical University Hospital for treatment.
