A McClellanville man surrendered to authorities after a man was shot Monday.
Joshua Rashaun Taylor, 20, of 1819 Old Collins Creek Road was charged with attempted murder.
Shortly before 3 a.m. Monday, a fight at 1411 St. Delight’s Road in the Sampit Community of Georgetown County escalated into a shooting, according to Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson.
One of the men was shot several times with a handgun, and the other man fled, Cuthbertson said.
The extent of the victim’s injuries was not disclosed Monday.
Taylor was being held in the Georgetown County jail.
