COLUMBIA — South Carolina sophomore left-hander Jordan Montgomery carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning and South Carolina scored in five of eight innings on the way to a win over Georgia on Senior Day at Carolina Stadium in front of a sellout crowd of 8,242 fans.

Montgomery (4-1) allowed one run on two hits in seven innings with three walks and two strikeouts.

Senior right-hander Colby Holmes pitched two scoreless innings with just one hit allowed and two strikeouts to close out the victory for Carolina.

Joey Pankake and Graham Saiko each went 2 for 4 to lead the South Carolina (36-14, 15-10 SEC) offense.

Kyle Farmer was 2 for 3 to lead Georgia (18-30, 5-18).

The series concludes with a 1:30 p.m. game today, which will be televised on SportSouth.
