Hanahan High School teachers selected four outstanding seniors to be recognized by the Hanahan Exchange Club.
The Hanahan Exchange Club invited Adrienne Cooper, Margaret Spell, Stephanie Futrell and Grace Murray and their families to attend a banquet in their honor last month where each student was given a plaque.
Adrienne Cooper served as president of her class during the ninth through 11th grades. She is serving as the student body president.
Margaret Spell spoke about her passion for athletics. She has run as a member of the cross country team since the seventh grade and has run track throughout high school. She also played soccer and powder-puff football. She has worked as a volunteer with football, basketball, wrestling and various tournaments.
Stephanie Futrell is a member of the International Club, National Honor Society and the Math Quest Team. She played varsity tennis and softball. Her community activities include church member, church council member, youth group leader, knit and prayer group.
Grace Murray’s high school activities include being a member of the National Honor Society, the Science Club, and Future Business Leaders of America. She spent more than 100 hours volunteering at the Hanahan Veterinary Clinic this school year. Grace has been running for Hanahan in track and cross country for six years and is a captain of the track and cross country teams.
