Modern hybrid teas to old garden roses and too many others to list will be on display during the 21st annual Charleston Rose Show on May 11 at Citadel Mall in West Ashley.
The show, sponsored by the Charleston Lowcountry Rose Society, draws both novices and experts.
It will be held near the mall’s food court.
This year, there are 39 exhibition categories.
Having membership in a rose society is not required to participate. Specimens entered must have been grown by the exhibitor in his or her own outdoor garden. Only one person or team per garden will be allowed to enter.
Entries will be accepted 6-10 a.m. with judging set to begin at 10:15 a.m.. The show will be open to the public 1-5 p.m.

The local rose society is affiliated with the American Rose Society.
