The city of Goose Creek, Helping Hands of Goose Creek and Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster will hold an Emergency Awareness Expo from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Marguerite H. Brown Municipal Center.
This free event will provide residents with information on what to do during a disaster and how they can help.
Participants include Goose Creek Fire Department, Goose Creek Police Department, Trident United Way, Civitan, Lowes, Berkeley County Emergency Preparedness Department, 211 Emergency Hotline, Canine Search and Rescue, HAM Radio Operators and more.
The Salvation Army and Red Cross will provide free hot dogs and water. Child fingerprinting will also be offered.
Residents are asked to bring a canned good donation for Helping of Hands of Goose Creek food pantry. Pets are not permitted.
