Folly Beach’s restrictions on walking dogs on the beaches kick in again Wednesday.
It’s illegal to have an animal on the beach between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. from May 1 to Oct. 30.
That was just one of the reminders the island’s Public Safety Department sent out Monday as the summer tourist season resumes.
You also risk getting a parking ticket if any of your wheels are touching the road. You can’t park within 20 feet of an intersection or a fire hydrant. You must park parallel with the street.
Another reminder: Beer and other alcohol were declared illegal on the beaches last summer, and that law remains in effect.
