Velocity Cycling studio to open in downtown Charleston
Downtown Charleston’s new cycling studio will hold its grand opening May 25, according to owner Blake Stouffer.
Velocity Cycling Studio is under construction at 140 East Bay St., Suite B, in the first floor of a parking garage. The center’s first class is 8 a.m. May 25, with another class at 9:30 a.m. Classes also are set for 9 a.m. May 26 and May 27. Online registration soon will be available at www.vcycling studio.com.
The grand opening at The Silver Puffin will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, the same night as the French Quarter Art Walk. The eclectic gift shop moved to 43 Broad St. last month after 16 years on King Street. The owner is Erastus Corning.
Total Mini and BMW Services at 7325 Cross County Road in North Charleston is moving to larger quarters Wednesday. The auto business has leased a 3,750-square-foot building at 7800 Biedler St., about three blocks west of the Cross County Exxon station.
Look for continued total vehicle tuning in the new site, according to owner Chad Matthews.
Firestone Complete Auto Care’s relocation to its new larger space in Mount Pleasant is complete. The service shop moved across the street from 691 Johnnie Dodds Blvd. at Shelmore Avenue to the former Palmetto Ford dealership on the frontage road. No word on what will go into the former Firestone space.
Good Shepherd Pet Services has leased a 1,500-square-foot retail site at 3350 Hill Park Drive off Cross County Road in North Charleston, according to The Beach Co.
Blowing back in
Windward Shutters LLC has moved back to Mount Pleasant after five years in North Charleston. Founded by Tim Smith in 1996, the business was located in East Cooper for 12 years initially. Its new showroom is at 405-B Coleman Blvd. next to Boulevard Diner.
Bojangles’ at 2508 Ashley Phosphate Road in North Charleston has reopened after a major makeover that shut it down for about three weeks in late March and early April.
The restaurant is part of K-Bo Inc., which owns six Bojangles’ in the local area.
The 30-year-old restaurant sports new equipment, dining room, bathrooms, furniture, roof and new exterior.
