Staff report

A 29-year-old North Charleston man was killed early Sunday morning when he ran off the road and wrecked.

He was Traval Davis, 29, according to the Charleston County Coroner’s Office.

A witness told North Charleston police a Lincoln Continental came off Meeting Street onto Hampton Avenue toward Spruill Avenue shortly after midnight. The car was going fast and hit two parked cars, a tree and a utility pole, police spokesman Spencer Pryor said.

The driver, Davis, died of his injuries. A female passenger was taken to Medical University Hospital with serious injuries, Pryor said.
