Local writer publishes story of healing
Lowcountry author Tony B. Ratliff has published his book, “The Hobo and the Dog: A Tale of Prayer, Pets and Healing.” This book is available on Amazon and at bookstores.
Abandoned by neglectful owners, a golden retriever must learn to fend for himself. Over time, he develops street smarts, but his newfound sense of caution can’t quite overcome his loving nature. Barfield, a hobo coping with tragedy, encounters the dog in a darkened boxcar and retreats from the brink of disaster.
Ratliff, a retired research chemist and businessman, lives in South Carolina and maintains a home in southern West Virginia. The themes of his works include Christianity, nature, love, tragedy and healing. For more about the author and his works, go to www.tbratliff.com.
