BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU starting pitcher Aaron Nola (8-0) hurled his third consecutive complete game and limited South Carolina to two runs on six hits as the Tigers defeated the Gamecocks at Alex Box Stadium.

Joey Pankake belted his ninth home run of the season and Tanner English added a RBI triple as well for the Gamecocks (31-12, 11-8 SEC) in the loss. Pankake went 2 for 4 to lead USC at the plate.

LSU (39-4, 16-3) pounded out 10 hits with Sean McMullen, Ty Ross, JaCoby Jones and Jared Foster finishing with two apiece.

Nolan Belcher (6-4) suffered the loss. He worked 52/3 innings and allowed four runs on seven hits with four walks and four strikeouts.
