The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has identified a woman who was killed while crossing a Charleston street Wednesday.
She was identified as Telma Duarte, 42, of Portugal. The cause of death was blunt-force trauma.
A vehicle was headed south on Spring Street and hit a woman crossing the road near Lockwood Drive shortly after midnight, according to an incident report from Charleston police. The vehicle had the right of way, according to police.
