The front entrances to Charleston City Hall have been closed this afternoon after a bee swarm tried to get into the building.
The swarm apparently was trying to relocate and thought it could move into City Hall, said Charleston Police Sgt. David Fair. Yellow tape is now blocking off the steps.
City maintenance crews responded with three cans of Raid. The bees that were not repelled could still come back.
Dogs are being prevented from licking the water around the building due to the chemicals that were sprayed.
