A new endowment has been set up at the College of Charleston to recognize a business professor with a $10,000 award each year.
The $250,000 Howard F. Rudd Distinguished Faculty Award was set up by Anita Zucker, CEO of the InterTech Group, and Justin McLain, executive chairman of Endeavor and managing member of Duart Mull, according to an announcement from the college.
Rudd, dean emeritus and professor of management, is retiring at the end of the semester after 29 years at the college.
The annual $10,000 award can be used for research, curriculum and program enhancements or professional development.
