A windy day is ahead for the Lowcountry, contributing to a higher chance of rip currents, the National Weather Service reports.
Northeast winds will be from 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph, the Weather Service said.
The Weather Service issued a wind advisory until noon today and a high surf advisory until 8 p.m.
Mostly cloudy skies are expected with a 20 percent chance of showers, according to the Weather Service. Highs will be in the upper 60s with lows about 50.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny with highs about 70 and lows in the mid 50s. Southeast winds will be from 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
Wednesday: Sunny skies with highs in the upper 70s with lows in the upper 50s. East winds will be from 5 to 10 mph.
