Pot in Pac-Man game leads to Orangeburg man’s arrest

Orangeburg County deputies said they found these bags of marijuana in a video game machine.

ORANGEBURG - An Orangeburg man was charged with trafficking marijuana after he was found with a video game machine with marijuana hidden inside.

Luis Tyler, 40, of Joseph Street in Orangeburg, had a full-sized Pac-Man game with 55 pounds of marijuana in it when he was stopped in his vehicle on Tuesday after an undercover investigation by federal officers and Orangeburg Sheriff’s officers.

Bond was set at $75,000 on Wednesday.

“Our efforts to make Orangeburg safe will not stop,” said Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell. “We are and will continue to investigate the criminals in our community and make arrests. You may be looking for a high score but what you’ll get is ‘game over’!”
