Charleston Southern has signed three basketball players for the 2013-14 season, coach Barclay Radebaugh announced today.
The Bucs signed 6-8 forward Ty’Quan Bitting of Winston-Salem, N.C.; 6-6 wing player Bakari Copeland of Lithonia, Ga.; and 6-7 forward Will Saunders of London, England.
“This is a terrific recruiting class and will add significant size, talent and ability to our team,” Radebaugh said.
Bitting averaged 13 points, 10.3 rebounds and 6.8 blocks as a senior at Mount Tabor High School, leading his team to the Class AAAA Final Four in North Carolina.
Copeland scored 23.5 points per game as a senior at Arabia Mountain High School, making second-team all-state in Georgia. Saunders shot 40.8 percent from 3-point range while averaging 10.2 points at College of Central Florida.
The three signees will join Tre’ Smith, a 6-3 guard from Hillcrest High School, in the Bucs’ recruiting class.
