Charleston Farmers Market is listed among the Top 10 in the United States, according to Shape magazine.
It picked the 10 must-visit market destinations, including Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, Boston, Portland, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Chicago, San Francisco.
“Open April through December, the Charleston Farmers’ Market is located in beautiful Marion Square. And Charleston may seem like a quaint, small town, but this market is big — visitors can bring home everything from vintage jewelry to handmade pasta to local meats to fresh veggies,” according to the magazine.
It also suggested a hotel nearby: Francis Marion Hotel.
“Still considered one of Charleston’s grand dames, the historic Francis Marion Hotel has lost some of its luster — the decor is a bit dated, and the restaurant receives mixed reviews. But you still can’t beat this hotel’s historic downtown location, overlooking Marion Square.”
